Five patches for Windows expected Tuesday |

Microsoft will release 12 security patches on Tuesday -- including several rated as critical for Windows and Office, according to the company's monthly security bulletin.
Five of the patches are for Windows, and at least one of those will be of critical importance. One of two patches affecting Office is rated as critical.
There will be a critical update for Microsoft Data Access Components and one affecting several threat protection and update products, including Windows Live OneCare, Antigen, Windows Defender and Forefront.
Other important updates will affect Windows and Visual Studio, Windows and Office and Step-by-Step Interactive Training. Administrators can find all of these updates using Microsoft's Baseline Security Analyzer and, in some cases, its Enterprise Scan Tool.
There will also be 10 non-security, high-priority Windows updates for Windows Update, Software Update Services and Microsoft Update.
Microsoft is not making known any additional information about the patches and updates until Tuesday's scheduled release. At that time it will make the information available on its usual webcast for IT workers.
