A service pack for Microsoft's gateway device is now available with more client support for Windows Vista and Windows Mobile 5.0.
Service Pack 1 for the gateway device, Intelligent Application Gateway 2007, has better integration through Active Directory Federation Services deployments and support as well as Kerberos constrained delegation (KCD) directory change utility support for smart card-only authentication.
Microsoft also claims better platform performance with AIG 2007 SP1 and upgrade support on Whale 4700 2U hardware. Microsoft acquired Whale Communications in 2006.
The software company also released an update for its enterprise firewall, Internet Security Acceleration Server 2006, or ISA 2006, with new troubleshooting tools and a new troubleshooting console node.
Other enhancements included in the ISA 2006 update are improved logging and analysis integration with the ISA Best Practices Analyzer tool and Forefront Client Security support for unified virus and spyware protection on Windows XP and on Windows Vista.
ISA Server was integrated with IAG 2007 earlier this year. IAG 2007 combines the Secure Sockets Layer VPN technology acquired by Microsoft from Whale Communications.
IAG 2007 SP1 and the ISA 2006 update can be downloaded on Microsoft's Web site.
