IT managers in Windows shops everywhere all share a need to administer, secure, configure and protect data across an increasingly complex series of servers and services across the enterprise.
When searching for software or hardware that does just the right thing, it's often hard to know just where to begin. In addition to platforms from high-profile Microsoft partners, such as Quest Software Inc., Novell Inc. and IBM, there is an array of less known third-party companies that sell software that builds on the Windows platform.
Our five site-specific showcases look at 100 new products from software and hardware companies. IT managers will want to use the information in the guides to help keep their data secure and systems humming. The products, which were all introduced between Sept. 30, 2006, and Oct. 1. 2007, are categorized into 23 subsections across all five of our Windows platform and application-specific sites.
