Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2008 for Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista has several new features including Zero Touch Installation and a new wizard-driven user interface.
The toolkit download follows the release this week of a Vista Service Pack 1 as a manual download on Windows Update.
A wider release of the service pack is expected next month.
Deployment Toolkit 2008 also offers guides for getting started with an OS deployment, a new task sequencer for configuring the OS and Lite Touch installation support for multicasting with Windows Deployment Services.
Microsoft is continuing to update Business Desktop Deployment 2007, which the vendor recently rebranded Microsoft Deployment, with simplified imaging and other deployment features according to the Windows Vista blog.
The BDD update also now supports Vista SP1.
