In addition to a new user interface like the ones found in System Center Operations Manager and Service Desk, the beta supports physical-to-virtual machine conversions for Windows Server 2000 and 2003 as well as virtual-to-virtual machine conversions using a PowerShell interface.

Other beta highlights include the ability to remotely install all Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) components such as the VMM server, library server, provisioning portal, administrative console and data store. Windows PowerShell support and documentation also makes an appearance in this beta.

The download is available at Microsoft Connect.
