Microsoft will drop six patches during the regularly scheduled patch release this month to fix vulnerabilities across a wide array of its platforms, including Windows and Office.
The company will post two updates rated important for Windows and Windows XP Professional, which could also result in remote code executions. There is one update that is rated moderate for Vista.
On July 10, the company will release more detailed information about these updates. All of the security updates can be detected by the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer and almost all of them will require a restart, the company said.
In addition, Microsoft will release four non-security, high-priority updates on Microsoft Update (MU) and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS). There will also be a non-security, high priority update for Windows on Windows Update (WU) and Software Update Services (SUS).
An updated version of the Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool will be released on WU, MU and WSUS.
