Level Platforms rounds out SearchWinIT.com's Group Policy category for Products of the Year by taking the Bronze Award for Managed Workplace 5.0. LPI designed the software to allow VARs and IT service providers to remotely and proactively monitor and manage their customers' networks.

The product is based on .NET 2.0 and consists of two components connected over the Internet using HTTPs and Web services. It is integrated with Microsoft Security Baseline Analyzer (MBSA) to monitor networks and alert users about security problems and any required patches.

Managed Workplace 5.0 provides more than 50 pre-set configuration templates for Microsoft and other third-party applications typically found in SMB networks. The product's scalability allows VAR partners to monitor sites with up to 250 desktops, servers and other devices within each customer site, as well as 200 customers per VAR service center. Managed Workplace 5.0 is also fully integrated with Microsoft CRM.
