Disable a local GP to get into a locked PC

Here is a solution for any administrator who finds themselves locked out of a PC because of a local GP that has the the "RUN" command disabled:
  1. Go to Start > Programs > Accessories
  2. Select the command prompt
  3. Type "MMC" at the command prompt, and hit enter (A blank console will open)
  4. Click on "console" on the Menu bar
  5. Click on "OPEN"
  6. This will reveal all of the local configured GPs
  7. Select and open the relevant GP
  8. Open the appropriate policy and disable as required.
This will work for any policy set on a GP computer.
