Hardware problems? Check your battery

If you find that Windows is not detecting the mouse, floppy, or any other hardware, check your mainboard battery before you start fiddling with your operating system.

It might sound funny, but I experienced some weird faults that turned out to be because of battery problems, and my systems are now working fine after renewing the battery.
