Ever want to monitor your LAN connectivity? Add an icon to your taskbar to do just that.
- From your desktop, double click "My Network Places".
- Click the link "Network and Dial-up Connections" on the left hand side of the My Network Places window.
- Right click "Local Area Network" and select "Properties" from the menu.
- Check the box labeled "Show icon in taskbar when connected", located at the bottom of the page. Click "OK".
Now you should see a pair of computers in your taskbar, with lights showing when your computer is transmitting or receiving data.
