This tip shows you an alternate way to add Notepad.exe as a shortcut in the SendTo context menu:
  1. Open Explorer and find the directory containing Notepad.exe -- usually %windir%System32notepad.exe.

  2. Open another Explorer window with the `SendTo' directory open under the 'Documents and Settings' folder for your user name (the 'View hidden files and folders' attribute needs to be set to 'Allow' in the 'Folder Options/View' tab).

  3. Right click and select 'Notepad.exe' and then drag and drop it onto the 'SendTo' folder.

  4. Release the mouse button and select the option to create a shortcut.
