Remote administration with Terminal Services

To remotely administer a server, make sure to install Terminal Services (TS) in remote administration mode. By default, only administrators can access the server with the TS client.

But if you want anyone to access the server using the TS client, (assuming that they have the proper server logon rights):

  • Access the Terminal Services Configuration tool.
  • Right click RDP-Tcp.
  • Click the Permissions tab.
  • Add the appropriate users and set the required permissions.
