W2k--DOS boot disk

On the Windows 2000 CD-ROM, there's a directory, VALUEADD3RDPARTYCA_ANTIV, that can be recycled to make a DOS boot disk.

  • From inside the folder, click on START (make sure you have a floppy in the a: drive) and type "makedisk" in the dialog box.

  • When the disk finishes creating, delete the autoexec.bat file on the floppy, and all of the files except for the following:

    COMMAND.COM
    CONFIG.SYS
    DRVSPACE.BIN
    HIMEM.SYS
    IO.SYS
    MSDOS.SYS

    Add those files that you need and boot the with the disk to enter DOS mode. Should be enough room to get a BIOS on it.
