When it comes to pursuing Microsoft certifications, nothing beats well-rehearsed preparation and practice. Though the details involved in pursuing the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certification differ somewhat from those involved in pursuing the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) credential (and in fact, the MCSA makes a great stepping stone toward achieving the MCSE), the same general approach works well in both cases. Simply put, you have to take more tests to achieve the MCSE than the MCSA (seven exams for MCSE versus four or five for the MCSA. And fewer exams apply to Windows 2000; more apply to Windows Server 2003 credentials).
